Services
We buy, sell, hire, service, upgrade, and repair all the Fairlight Computer
Musical Instruments, including Series I, II, IIx, III, MFX1, and MFX2.
We also supply numerous other "third party" options for the series III, such
as 32 Mbyte waveform RAM cards, music libraries, external hard drives and
other media, like 3.5" floppy drives.
A popular upgrade is to move Series III machines from revision 5 to
revision 9. As well as increasing the speed fivefold, and numerous software
advantages, this enables CMIs to use virtually any SCSI storage device up to
4 gigabytes. It also allows colour graphics, digital sampling, dynamic voice
allocation, and increased memory.
Please note that because of the age of the earlier Series I, II, and IIx
machines, spares are becoming increasingly rare (in some cases non-existant),
and therefore most of the sales and upgrades performed are for the later
Series III and MFX2.
