Hi Mathew. well, many people asked were there any CMI 11x mp3's available? I had the origional fairlight demo sequence Page R on tape, something i knocked up whilst at fairlight. The piece amongst others was called "locust" by Mars lasar. what was of interest here was mucicaly composing and controlling a frequency of 26/hz, and constructing a verey clever piece using only 8 mono voices and 2 seconds of wave from data. At the link above you will find pieces of my own, one being the cenezoic template wave,"tobootchabeast" this is fundamentally an exersise in acoustic symbiosis, an unproven science, and the isolated TS wave, which i imagine was responsible for the TSunami "asia" Bizzare hey? along with this there is a word document outlining a design for the CMI series "4" I make the claim here that i contributed greatly to the design of series 3.having said that there are some in the loop who conceede that "fairlight rushcutrters bay" was where it all began. "where it all began?"...sampling technology..software + hardware technology defining the framework of the future you now live in. My work and aspirations are only a continuance of the origional dream, and a quest to develop a tool by which you simply, "Think it it will happen" i have gone as far as i can, but hey take a look at the world around you, ask yourself who is the author? enjoy. Simon.
