looking for the snare sample thats at the beginning of tears for fears 'shout'
a very gated mettalic beauty that ive often heard and always atributed to fairlight or JJ
any clues really appreciated (its one of those life quest sort of things) :-)

| It's either from the Fairlight that was used all over the album (Fairlight 'ahh' sound used in Shout solo) or it's from the Linn 9000. : looking for the snare sample thats at the beginning of tears for fears 'shout'

i have limited access to fairlight sounds but all the linn and fairlight sounds i can get from the net dont seem to be anywhere near the oomph of it, its in a different league. would it have been series III?

| There was a T.F.F. interview back in the day, think it was in Keyboard mag, can't remember if he said it was just how they came up with the riff or if it was the actual sound used, but seem to remember reading R.O. said they used a drumulator with a "rock snare"chip to start with?
