| CMI 111 Boot up probs. | CJ | 2005-02-26 17:01:36 |
Thanks for your replies to our earlier problems. Our Series 3 still won't boot! We have tried the usual tricks (CNTRL Q, Space Bar, etc.), but to no avail. It seems the OS9 boots up from Waveform Supervisor OK, but there may be an access problem to the hard drive. We have two internal drives installed. R9.34 is on drive 0, with our own libraries on drive 200. The W. Supervisor shows both drives as "Targets", so recognition is OK, but access is not. Could this be a drive problem? Hopefully it is a faulty drive and not a faulty CMI!!! Incidentally, when this problem first manifested itself, it seemed to clear either by pressing the restart buttons on the CPU front cover or by switching off, waiting a minute or two and then switching on. Would re-installing 9.34 on to the second drive from 8" floppies at least let us use the kit? We are ready to try anything! Thanx. |

| Have you tried directing your question to Steve on the forums at Fairlight AU? Steve is the moderator/creator of these forums and also one of the original Series III programmers. Go to: http://www.fairlightau.com/Forum/index.php There is a section for Legacy Products including the IIx/III/MFX2/MFX3+ etc Good luck! Cheers, Peter |
