There's a Fairlight IIx CD available online from Pro Rec (http://www.pro-rec.com/samplecds.html). It contains the FULL IIx library and is worth every penny.

I also believe there is a JJ Fairlight sample CD available, but for my lofe can't remember the details. Oh, Art of Sampling or something??!??!??

Good luck!
Peter

There is a new VST virtual instrument (MAC/PC) called "Cult Sampler" that looks and sounds promising! It's available at www.soundsonline.com

Here is a quote from the product release:

The 2000 sounds and multisamples are perfectly laid out to play on your keyboard. Sounds of early vintage samplers like Orchestron, EMU II, Akai S-612, Ensoniq Mirage, Fairlight, Synclavier, Linn, Mellotron, Master Studio Coll., FZ-1, DSS-1. Each sound and multisample was produced professionally using the original samplers. Also included are all the classic factory sounds.

I just ordered mine yesterday! Hope that helps!!!

i ordered this and to be honest i'm a little disappointed. it only has 22 fairlight sounds! i was kinda hoping for more variety. it also focuses a little too much on orchestral instruments for all the various samplers. who really needs an 8 or 12 bit violin sample these days? and who needs a dozen of them?

think i'll check out the pro-rec cd now.
