	Design Philosophy
Less code is better		We concentrate on keeping the complexity down, while still focusing on the client's requirements. The Windows platform has risen in popularity over the past ten years and the price of this popularity is now becoming clear. Total Cost of Ownership is the rage. Microsoft's response: pile more software into the Windows code base!
Bandwidth is always an issue		So many sites are overloaded with whiz-bang effects that only waste time. "New Media" design firms, which jump on hot new techniques and think that yesterday was ancient history, are missing the point. Visitors are overwhelmed by the fast pace of change and are looking for sensible information from stable companies.
	Technology and Tools
Technology		GH Services has developed some special algorithms and technology over the years that are used in our clients' systems. Key among these is the record-level data synchronization embedded in several systems, which ensures that changes made at remotes sites are reflected correctly throughout the organization. Building on this technology is the real-time off-site incremental backup feature, which provides a "warm-swap" dataset in case of outages, or can even provide performance improvements for remote sites.
Tools		We use many tools in the creation of systems for our clients, ranging from CA-Clipper for DOS development, to CA-Visual Objects for Windows, to Perl, JavaScript, and Java for Web development. Advantage Database Server is an easy-to-deploy database engine that provides client/server performance and reliability with record-based, navigational data access and SQL functionality.
